CARDIFF HALF MARATHON OCTOBER 2016

Three of the Jail Breakers entered and completed the Cardiff Half Marathon.  For Lora (a new mum) and Louise (recently retired Police Officer) it was a new experience, one which they intend to repeat now that they've got the bug.  Linda (who won't confess her age in public!)  was completing the Half for the second time and managed a personal best time.  Well Done and huge Congratulations to these amazing and inspirational women.

(L-R) Lora Stokes 2 hrs 40, Louise Griffiths 2 hrs 05, Linda Harrigan 2 hrs 59

The total amount raised in aid of Prostate Cancer was £778.04

Huge thank you to everyone who raised sponsorship, collected money along the way or donated to this amazing and very worthy cause.

The intrepid few.  If only they'd known what they were facing they may not have been smiling quite so broadly!

Little did we (or they) know that Louise Griffiths (left) and Hester Wood (right) not only reached Pit Stop 3 ahead of everyone else but they finished ahead of everyone else as well.  Congratulations to these two intrepid warriors!

The Feeding Station - Clwyd Gate - aka Pit Stop 3.  Nan Powell-Davies (left) Me (centre) and Lucy Goodwin who, along with Wendy Sawyer, marshalled the Pit Stop and made sure we were fed, watered and on our way again in good time.

Without our amazing marshalls we just wouldn't have made it all the way.  Wendy Sawyer (left) who not only fed and watered us, but checked us in and out, ran around after us and shepherded us in at the finish line.  Harbans Lloyd (centre) and Linda Harrigan (right)

Last, but definitely NOT least.  These five amazing women showed unerring courage and finished in Llangollen still smiling.  Sore knees and little battle weary.

L to R: Michaela Hughes, Linda Harrigan, Wendy Whitmore, Sam Hughes, Harbans Lloyd

And this is how the Inmates celebrate - in style with beer in hand.  A huge thank you to The Crown Hotel, Llandegla for welcoming us in, feeding and watering us despite our dishevelled state.  Cheers - and here's to the next one!

Induction

The best way to get to know me is to book an induction! Induction takes 90 minutes.  A little paperwork and then the balance of time spent one on one with me in the gym.  So, look for an available 90 minutes in your diary, send me a request for that time slot with your contact details and I'll book you in.  If you prefer to just phone me, that's OK too.  01352 753438 or 07796 271492.
